A few weeks ago, a ten page YStyle special was devoted to the first fashion film they produced for The Philippine Star’s 25th Anniversary. Today we give you the full show. Titled “Femme Noir,” it’s a veritable whodunit with an ending that is left up to the viewer’s interpretation.
We personally enjoyed the fashion and styling by Charmaine Palermo who said that they shot for two days at Manila Hotel. "The challenge was to prepare for everything in four days," she reveals. "I needed eleven sets for the eleven muses with extra outfits because we didn't do a fitting." She pulled outfits from designers John Paras, Julius Tarog, Popo Go, Chris Diaz and Joel Escober (at MYTH), and Rhett Eala. To accessorize, she used heels from Janilyn and Schu plus the teardrop fascinators of Cat Cuasay to seal in that ‘40s vibe.
Watch the film below then move to the next page to read our interview with YStyle’s Bea Ledesma who was the film’s executive producer.
