If you’re one of the many who ripped Pitch Perfect off Torrent in Christmas of 2012, you probably memorized the steps to that routine in video above. Despite the absence of a meaty plot (it really was just a bunch of college kids making sounds with their mouths), the movie pulled in a decent core of 7.3 out of 10 from IMDB and 81% from Rotten Tomatoes.
This summer, its sequel came to the big screen and it was, as expected, a-ca-awesome. Three years after Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, and Brittany Snow made us dance light a flight attendant to Ace of Base’s The Sign, they return to the halls of the fictional Barden University to finish what they started. And while we wouldn’t want to spoil the viewing experience for you (okay, maybe just a little), here’s a synopsis of the movie told in emojis.
