Wear Prints a la Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne

Let these supermodels school you on A-game pattern play.
Wear Prints a la Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne

Leave it to this dream tandem of supermodels to inspire you to rock prints this season. Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne fulfilled every fashion girl's fantasy when they joined forces to front Mango's Autumn/Winter '15 campaign. We have to admit their sultry stares had our knees weak and our computer mouse hovering over the "Shop Now" button. And now, after spending hours poring over the gorge collection, we took the liberty to sort out our favorite patterned pieces and re-imagine them the way Kate or Cara would wear it.

A quick refresher: Kate the Great rocks sexy bohemian-rock chic like no one (literally, no one) can, while Cara exudes a forever devil-may-care attitude in her tomboy, off-duty style.

1. PAINT SPLATTERS

Call it the fulfillment of our teenage DIY fantasies—finally, someone thought of deliberately applying paint splashes onto denim with a result that actually looks fasyon (thanks, Mango). Here, the classic denim jacket, a pair of jeans ripped just right, and a white high waist shorts are given a shot of amateur art via pastel paint splatters.

How Cara would wear it: This pair of denim jeans, with an oversized T-shirt and neon high-top sneakers.

2. VINTAGE FLORALS

Time to take back the mean things you said about your mom's dresses, because vintage-style florals are cool again. Blame it on fashion currently being clingy with anything '70s—now, we're all racing to stores to buy brand new frocks with flower patterns that we only ever saw in our mothers' wardrobes.

How Kate would wear it: This dress, with messy hair and tan ankle boots.

3. BLACK AND WHITE GRAPHICS

Admittedly, this trend almost got boring when it started to appear and re-appear a few seasons back, but we think we're liking this season's fresh take, with the monochrome pair taking on bohemian patterns and/or rendered onto more loungey silhouettes. Think of a Marrakech flea market score, but in black in white—yep, we're digging it alright.

How Cara would wear it: These shorts, with a guy's sando and ugly-cool sandals.

4. LUXE BOHEMIAN PRINTS

If there's anything on the list that screams on-trend, this is it. Gypsy babes are back again, and this time, the look is more expensive: rich, vibrant patterns are extravagantly printed onto pieces that are more structured and elaborate.

How Kate would wear it: This dress, and barefoot.

5. ART DECO STRIPES

We didn't think that stripes for the evening would ever be a thing, but it did. Stripes in Gatsby gold, silver and black are rendered into slinky soiree pieces that make a statement without being maximalist.

How Kate would wear it: This romper, with the thinnest soled black stilettos.
