We have to admit, there was a point where Tod’s became too mom-ish for our taste. The late (and ever loved) Princess Diana, a Tod’s Icon that represented everything the label stands for, brought people to gravitate toward their high class sensibilities. But at some point, the fluttery feeling just fleeted. The world took a turn and started looking at Kate Middleton, her more contemporary and relatable reincarnation.
Well aware of these changes, Tod’s made the move of hiring their first ever Creative Director, Alessandra Facchinetti. On her third season with the fashion house, Facchinetti presented the “Private Green” Collection at Milan Fashion week, sending out the message that they can keep their high class aesthetic, yet still be in the game.
