Take it from the beach to dressy nighttime affairs.

It’s very rare that one fashion item can answer most (if not all) of your sartorial dilemmas. Need an easy wedding guest outfit? A suit! Going straight from the office to dinner? A suit! Leaving for a day of errands? Well, you get the point. Suits are so straightforward in their design that they can work for virtually anything. Let it speak for itself when you’re in a rush to get ready, or use it as a canvas to style when you’re feeling a little creative. They’re so timeless, practical, versatile, and it comes as no surprise that we see it all over our social feeds.

Our favorite fashion influencers love a good suit moment, whether they’re pulling together a chic look for a nighttime event or traveling around the world for the summer. So scroll right along and see 10 ways to rock a suit according to these style pegs.

LOOK: 10 Chic Ways to Style a Suit

1. A charcoal suit is a classic, but one done in an oversized silhouette gives it the ticket to enter cool-girl territory. Just take a look at this suit on Claudia Barretto, which looks two sizes too big, but is somehow just right. She pairs it with chunky white sneakers to keep to that too-cool-to-care sense of style.

2. This look hits both strong and sultry in one effortless strike. Liz Uy wears a suit done in no-nonsense black and oversized fit. She decides to wear nothing underneath, showing just a sliver of skin for that understated kind of sexiness. If you decide to take the (literal) plunge, too, nipple covers and fashion tapes are your best friends.

3. So you prefer actually wearing a top? That’s alright, too! We love the effect of wearing something tiny underneath an oversized suit as it makes for a really interesting contrast. Ida Anduyan does just that, with a brown bralette under a cropped white suit. She gives the look her signature street style twist with a chunky gold necklace and dad trainers.

4. It goes without saying that a monochromatic outfit looks sophisticated, but one done with a sharp suit, we have to say, is on a new level of chic. Angelique Manto pairs her beige suit with a corset of the same color for a wedding guest look. We love how she doubles down on the sleekness, choosing to put her hair back into a tight ponytail the "clean" girl way.

5. It’s all in the details for this ensemble, with Verniece Enciso cleverly matching her accessories with her suit’s silver buttons. It’s the smallest touch, but makes all the difference in designing a cohesive, sophisticated, and put-together look. Now, all you need is a significant other to wear a matching outfit with you.

6. Suits and satin are two of our favorite things, so when matched together, the combination is divine! Take a look at this outfit by Sarah Lahbati, which features a suit done in a shiny, pale pink fabric. But the glow doesn’t stop there—the actress chose to pair the set with a sparkling bra, creating a look that illuminates like no other.

7. We can’t get enough of dopamine dressing, especially when a red hot suit is involved! Chi Gibbs shows us that with contrasting colors (and a bit of courage) you can pull off the trend too. Pair a bright suit with accessories that are on the opposite side of the color wheel (Chi wears red and blue) for a striking look that’ll definitely make you stand out.

8. As we’ve learned,  just because your suit is super bold doesn’t mean you have to tone down the rest of your outfit. Take a look at this ensemble by Laureen Uy, where she uses her bright pink suit almost like a canvas for more out-of-the-box accessories. She adds in a zebra-print bag and embellished sunnies for a look that feels fearless, funky, and a whole lot of fun.

9. Transforming your suit into something more beach-appropriate can be done with the right choice of accouterments. Jaz Reyes shows us how it’s done with a textured bikini top and leather sandals. It’s really as simple as adding in those more casual, raw, and natural textures (think linens, straw, and leather) to make it work.

10. The image of summer suiting defined, Camille Co wears a suit that’s done in a short-sleeved silhouette, a lightweight fabric, and a brightly saturated color. It makes for a perfect hot-weather outfit that stays on the sharp and clean-cut side of things. Paired with a bright white pair of shoes (Camille chooses loafers, but we’d adore this with flat sandals, too), and it can take you through even the hottest of tropical days.
