In her early days as Preview’s Fashion Editor, former Editor-In-Chief Pauline Juan teamed with photographer Francis Abraham, makeup artist Manni Ibay, and hairstylist Kiko Escobar to put together a cover that gathered eight of 2001’s fast-rising leading men: Jericho Rosales, Onemig Bondoc, Carlos Agasi, Piolo Pascual, Rico Yan, Marvin Agustin, Bernard Palanca, and Diether Ocampo. Model Phoemela Baranda sat dead center and surrounded by the guys, laying down the verdict as to what makes a quintessential heartthrob for the big cover story.

Clearly, much has changed since 2001, but there will always be those things that’ll remain a classic. So, in celebration of the 15 years Pauline dedicated to the magazine, the team decided to recreate this iconic cover, putting together today’s rising “it” boys—actors Ruru Madrid, Derrick Monasterio, Andre Paras, and Iñigo Pascual, model LA Aguinaldo, and athlete Jeron Teng—with internationally signed model Kelsey Merritt to front her last issue as EIC.
