Remember last October when Nike’s Back to the Future shoe came to life via the 2015 Nike Mag? It was all sorts of cool, from the futuristic look, the lights, and of course, the self-lacing feature. But while it was a limited edition pair, just a few hours ago, Nike unveiled the Hyperadapt 1.0. A more wearable version of the 2015 Nike Mag, with the same self-lacing function.
Watch it in action:
Basically there are two buttons controlling it. The plus button to tighten and the minus button to adjust.
The custom shoe is the sportwear label’s entry into the future of adaptive performance, and from what we’re seeing it looks quite impressive. Something The Jetsons would wear if they caught up with the sneaker trend, perhaps. No release date from Nike, but it’s set to come out this year and will be available exclusively to Nike+ members.
What do you guys think? No more bending and snapping?
