If you want genuine leather, you go to Italy - Florence, to be exact. The city is known for its leather markets where you can find an array of genuine goods ranging from bags, wallets, belts and, of course, shoes. And while not everyone can just so easily hop on a plane and travel back and forth to this Tuscan country side, not to worry because there are luxury labels that exist to share with the world the real Italian leather experience.

This weekend, one of the most popular brands hailing from Italy, Salvatore Ferragamo, is giving us a peek at how their handcrafted footwear are made. They flew a master craftsman all the way from their HQ in Florence to show us exactly how much precision, skill, and technique are needed to create shoes befitting of the label.
