Rihanna's new business venture with LVMH finally gets a name: Project Loud France. The singer names her new brand after her fifth solo album, Loud. This new luxury brand celebrates Rihanna as its first ever African-American woman designer for the fashion conglomerate. Project Loud France also gets a multi-million euro back split amongst Rihanna and LVMH who also owns Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, and Celine. It is reported that Rihanna will hold 49.99% of the company's shares.

4. Selfridges will stop selling exotic skin by 2020.

The famous British department store has announced that they will stop selling exotic skin—including python, alligator, crocodile or other exotic animal skins—by February 2020. Selfridges says that by next year, "its stores will only sell leather derived from agricultural livestock," Business of Fashion reports. The move against use of exotic skin is the company's answer to their consumers who demand for ethical consumption.

5. Victoria's Secret will be closing over 50 stores in the US.

Victoria's Secret's mother brand L Brands, announced that they will be shutting down more than 50 underperforming stores in the US due to the brand's decline in the past year. This decline can be attributed to Victoria's Secret inability to, "keep up with shifting consumer demands, especially involving themes of female empowerment and diversity," Bloomberg writes.
