Veejay Floresca and Ino Caluza of Viktor Jeans were tapped by Honda to launch the 2011 model of the Honda Jazz. Geared towards the young, hip, fun, active, and trendy market, the Jazz was introduced by a five-part fashion show dubbed "Jazz Stand Out."
Veejay showcased three segments: fun, young, and trendy, where he showed an all-white lineup of party dresses, another slew of white and silver sequined dresses, and a last black lineup of cocktail dresses, all interspersed with gowns in bright orange. "My point of inspiration came from driving the car," Veejay says. "They actually gave us a chance to drive it for three to four days. I was very inspired after driving it—it’s very comfortable and easy to use; it’s very trendy, and since I'm a young designer, I feel that the Jazz is suitable for [someone] my age."
Ino, meanwhile, took care of menswear, showing two mini-collections of varsity and leather jackets, tees, and his signature Viktor jeans for the hip and active segments. "Basically, the collection’s all about interpreting the new Jazz. I used a lot of textures—a lot of leather, mesh, different kinds of fabric. And the way I designed the jeans and the jackets is that they all have zippers and pockets, because that’s what Jazz is all about: it’s functional."
