Galliano's first piece for Maison Martin Margiela, a leather mini with matchbox cars sewn on, reminded us of this March 2013 editorial in Preview Magazine called "Fantasy Island." Model and beauty queen Valerie Weigmann wore a pastel one-piece by Russell Villafuerte, who hand-painted vintage hot-rod automobiles onto spandex. That time, we were inspired by Prada Spring 2012 that we even photographed Valerie with model cars from Toy Kingdom. The rest, as they say, is Photoshop. And an air pump, for all those balloons.
