Uniqlo redefines resortwear with a new collection in collaboration with Bottega Veneta's Tomas Maier. In a statement, Tomas refers to his pieces as "beach attire [that] can turn into lounge wear, casual cover-ups paired with polo shirts that can easily be worn in town." He explains, "Things work in many ways. Even if bought for a special trip or occasion, the customer will soon discover these garments adapt to a year-round life."
The collection features bright hues like orange, yellow, and red. There are also palm tree prints reminiscent of sunny Florida where Tomas originated. The line fuses Tomas' “time off” and “escape” philosophy with the Japanese brand's commitment to create high-quality clothing. Thus, you can expect stylish summer clothes that are made with Uniqlo's innovative fabrics, such as AIRism for jackets and polo shirts, Extra Fine Cotton for shirts, Supima Cotton for T-shirts, and 100% cashmere for summer knit, designed to keep the wearer cool and comfortable especially in the midst of the summer heat.
