By now, you must already be a pro at shopping in the digital space. But we’re here to tell you that there’s a new website you need to bookmark, and it’s sure to improve your shopping experience and grow your options manifold.
Finally, Store Specialists Inc. (SSI) has officially launched Trunc.ph, a virtual space that makes the many lifestyle and luxury brands in its portfolio available for you to shop online. Yup, that means womenswear, men’s wear, kids’s clothing and toys, as well as home and living items are all on offer. True to form, the design feels premium, and the customer is still top priority in this new retail space.
THE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE
“The strategy is to synchronize [what’s online with what’s in the stores,” said SSI President Anton Huang at the launch event. It’s about giving their customers the option to choose their preferred shopping experience. For example: You can choose to buy directly from the website, or use it as a catalogue to help you decide what to buy in stores, or through their Personal Shopper on Call service. Navigating the site is intuitive and a search filter column proves especially useful in refining options as you browse. Product pages are equipped with multiple image views and details to help aid your decision. And if you find you’re still wanting more information, a click (or tap) on the chat icon at the bottom right will connect you to a sales associate who can assist. Delivery time is estimated between 3 to 15 days, depending on yourlocation in the Philippines.
SSI has also put in measures to boost your confidence as you shop their online retail space. For one, all items can be returned free of charge within a 30-day period, provided it complies with the Terms & Conditions. Another thing to note is that all luxury fashion deliveries are covered by insurance, so you won’t be a bag of nerves while waiting for that special purchase to reach you. Plus, with Christmas coming very soon, they will be providing holiday packaging to make gifting from the site ideal.
The Brands in Trunc
While not all of the 94 brands in SSI’s portfolio are in Trunc.ph yet, it already houses 53 boutiques for lifestyle fashion. Fashion favorites like Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein Underwear and Jeans, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Tory Burch, and more are present. The merchandise mix also caters to a customer’s total needs: whether it’s undergarments from Marks & Spencer or Women’s Secret to Muji’s aesthetic home organizers, the variety of brands guarantees the wealth of options. Anton also shared that non-SSI brands that have complementary products are also available in the site.
PowderRoom by Trunc
As for Lush and the many brands in Beauty Bar, you'll find them in a section named PowderRoom. You can get to it via the menu bar in mobile or by clicking the link in the upper left in your desktop. This is where you can shop for all the lovely bath products, skin care, makeup, and tools you need.
In the same way that Greenbelt 4 is where you need to go to shop the luxury brands under SSI’s umbrella, Trunc Show is the section to visit if you’re on the hunt for designer styles. Currently, only the items of Burberry, Salvatore Ferragamo, Hogan, Tod’s, and Jimmy Choo populate this area, but based on the site, and information from Anton, you’ll soon be able browse and buy pieces from Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Loewe, and Bottega Veneta.
It’s true that shopping in the metro has changed over the course of quarantine, but it’s nice to know that our options are growing month on month. You might, at some point, have wished you could pop into Old Navy or Banana Republic for some new casual wear, or thought about going over the mid-century modern style accessories at West Elm to fluff up your space. All that is now actually possible without having to leave home. Isn’t that some pretty wonderful news?
