The last few days went by so swiftly that we didn’t even realize that Manila Fashion Festival has finally come to a close. Happy with the turn-out of its first run, the event has left us with much to talk about from our favorite pieces to the stylish attendees of days one, two, and three. But if there’s one thing we must talk about, it’s the trends we spotted on the runway. From color stories to silhouettes, we saw a number of things that the designers seem to have agreed on for next season. What are they? Go see for yourself.
TAKE A TRIP TO EMERALD CITY
Rest your eyes on this cool shade of green that adds a subtle opulence to any outfit.

WHY WE LOVE IT: It's about time we gave the tangerines, teals, and aquas of summer a break.
TONE IT DOWN
Forget the fills and tone things down with boyish separates in monochromatic hues.

WHY WE LOVE IT: It's no-nonsense, a simple and easy way to looking put together.
JUST SWEAT IT OFF
The age-old comfort piece gets a stylish upgrade with dressy fabrics and detailed embellishments.
SPOTTED ON: ARIN, Sassa Jimenez, Mark Bumgarner
WHY WE LOVE IT: Sweaters in the summer might seem a bit odd, but the sheer and breathable materials make them very much wearable.
CAN’T SHAPE IT NO MORE
Add drama to your ensembles with shapeless floor-sweepers that shroud every secret.
SPOTTED ON: Renan Pacson, Sassa Jimenez, Vania Romoff, ARIN
WHY WE LOVE IT: They're loose and easy to move in plus you wouldn't have to worry about unwanted bulges.
SHEERING THE NIGHT
A flash of skin through a gauzy film says classy, not trashy.
SPOTTED ON: Mark Bumgarner, Vania Romoff, Jaz Cerezo
WHY WE LOVE IT: It shows just the right amount of skin without going overboard. It's also perfect for showing off toned limbs on a dressed up summer evening.
