We’ve said it time and again, if shopping were a sport, we’d be gold medalists. To be clear though, this is not limited to mall runs, because showing up at fashion shows is definitely the third leg of the tournament. Four days of designer goods is no joke, and if the front row seats were thrones in the game of (fashion) shows, we obviously had to take note of who claimed their rightful spots at the Manila Fashion Festival.
#MNLFashionFest Attendance Sheet
Punctuality is chic but perfect attendance makes a star player. Aside from editors who were there to work, as well as the CEO and founder of Art Personas, Ronnie Cruz, there were stylistas whose strong fashion presence were felt from Thursday through Friday. Hair guru Lourd Ramos and Avant Gardist Andre Chang share the Cinderella-Swarovski plaque of approval for not only watching all the shows, but also for looking extra fab.
But while there are clean attendance sheets, there were also those who maximized their free cuts. Where have the bloggers gone? The absence of the country’s top bloggers such as Laureen Uy, Camille Co, and Kim Jones were noticeable—probably because they’ve rebranded themselves into fashion slash travel bloggers? Can’t blame them though, who wouldn’t want to travel in the summer? Or perhaps it's a sign of the changing times.
