Every year, the University of Santo Tomas, College of Fine Arts and Design throws a fashion extravaganza to showcase the creativity of their students. This year was no different as a total of 80 young talents guided by Prof. Jennifer Samonte Aguilar participated in IKON: The Annual Junior Fashion Show 2016.
The youngins were given two to three weeks to render and produce their designs into wearable art and last May 3, 2016, over a hundred designs inspired by the theme Tribal and Church fired up the Tigers’ runway.
Judged by stylists, fashion designers, and enthusiasts; six winners were chosen.
For the Tribal theme there was one winner per category, namely:
Nina Paz for Couture
Selina Cruz for Streetwear
Nikki Tan for Semi-Formal.
There were also three winners for the Church theme, namely:
Jorel Arcebal for Luxe
KC Almerol for Formalwear
Hillary Lee for Couture
With all the fantastic renditions of the theme, we bet the judges had a hard time picking the winners. Launch the gallery to see all the looks that sashayed down the runway.
