Last 2024, LIKHÂ founder Nathalie Llorente-Lim became a Tory Burch Foundation Fellow. With her design-led lifestyle brand, Nathalie champions artisan communities across the Philippines, which is in line with the foundation's mission—increasing women's economic by supporting entreprenuers in building sustainable businesses.
More than two years later, the two brands once again intersected—this time with a physical manifestation in the form of a bag called Ella.

Labeled as a hand-crocheted popcorn bucket bag, the Ella is made from natural abaca by the brand's artisans in the Philippines. Sharing the process of making the bag, LIKHÂ'S artisans harvest, strip, and prepare the abaca by hand.
"The fibers are twisted into cord, dyed, then knotted by LIKHÂ’s artisan partners to slowly build the bag’s distinctive form and texture. From trimming and finishing to adding the final labels and signature Tory Burch charm, each step passes through skilled hands. What begins as a natural fiber becomes something made to be carried—bringing Filipino material, craft, and craftsmanship into a global fashion collection."
The brand also revealed that the bag took 2.5 years in the making. "Behind its seemingly simple form are years of sampling, refining, problem-solving, and learning what it takes to bring an artisan-made piece into production for a global fashion brand — while preserving what matters most: the hand of the artisan."
