Gucci’s Dionysus has met its match! Though the Italian brand’s chain-strapped shoulder bag continues to make its rounds on social media, another one is slowly catching up.
We’re talking about British designer J.W. Anderson’s Pierce bag (named as such because of the single ring looped through the flap). According to Allure, it debuted as part of the label’s Pre-Fall 2016 collection—and it has been gaining momentum since.
The Pierce doesn’t look like most people’s idea of an It bag, which definitely lends to its appeal. Unlike the Céline Luggages and Givenchy Antigonas of the world, there’s something unconventional about it.
You just need to see how these women style theirs to understand the kind of aesthetic the Pierce exudes.
J.W. Anderson Pierce bags start at £750 for the small, £895 for the medium (also the most popular), and £1,195 for the large. Find them here.
