Imagine this scenario: You took your time in the shower, spent hours in the makeup chair, and perfected the winged flick like a total pro. After strategically contemplating whether or not you should wear your hair up or down, you slip into that little white dress you just bought last weekend. It’s the perfect occasion to merit the debut of your brand new frock, so now you’re convinced that you’ll walk into that party looking like the prettiest girl in the room. But alas, your little fantasy suddenly turns into a horror movie—there, amidst the crowd, is another girl dressed in exactly the same outfit as yours.
Now, the daunting dilemma: How to handle a same-dress situation?
Here’s where Martine Cajucom enters the picture. Being an It girl herself, one might think she’s never found herself in the same position, but just like any other girl, she’s also fairly familiar to this type of fashion crisis. “Whenever I shop with my family and we find an inexpensive dress we all mutually love, we each buy our own. Too many times have we showed up to Sunday lunch in the same outfit,” she shares.
So what’s a girl got to do? Martine’s advice is pretty simple, and very millennial at that.
“[Whenever it happens to me,] we laugh about it then it ends up on Snapchat. Make a joke and take a photo together. It happens and it’s funny!”
Spoken like a true It girl! Next time you find yourself in a same-dress situation, heed Martine's advice: keep your cool and snap that #twinning moment.
