Been, for whatever reason, wanting a Supreme fire extinguisher? Or a fake grass-textured (yet 100% authentic) Prada tote? Look no further than EBayBae, run by Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum of Art collections specialist Tae In Ahn!
The EBayBae feed seems random, but upon closer inspection, it's pretty cheekily curated. On one week, Tae In focused on bizarre pet accessories, like a bite-size “Chewy Vuitton” chew-toy purse and a Dolce & Gabbana bedazzled collar. She's also zoomed in on all things Vivienne Westwood: metallic animal-toe heels and a life-sized cardboard cutout of the designer herself.
Of her process, Tae In told Vogue in an interview, "Sometimes I will purposefully search for something I’m inspired by at the moment, such as a specific category, time period, designer, object, or word. Sometimes I’ll start a vague search and then refine it, leading me to various rabbit holes and finding something completely unexpected."
We love an oddball novelty, especially in the fashion department! So, in case you've been hunting for a D&G macaroni necklace to complete that stellar OOTD, you know where to click.
