Last weekend, we saw a lot of pieces at Pilipinas Men’s Fashion Week that got us saying, “Those pants look like they could be part of my wardrobe.” Here take a look at the few items, we feel, could sell faster if they were placed in the ladies’ section.
Starfish, pastel hues, and oversized shapes would complement a svelte frame better than a man's straight one.
Even the smallest detail added to a menswear piece could cause it to look a little flowery. From the way the pattern is manipulated and cut to the length of the hem and choice in fabric, it can easily go from manly to girly. If it’s a tad bit too detailed or too dressy, then chances are guys won’t wear them.
Drop crotch pants are starting to gain traction in the menswear scene but the prints may be too busy for their taste. They would look cool on girls with long gams, or high, high heels.
