For the month of August, Fabric, the fashion show series organized by Jermaine Brown, Liza Tan, and Cacay Moras, featured 4 young designers from La Salle College International Manila.

The fashion neophytes, Kristine Bautista, Charmagne Diaz, Crisel Eslao, and Karl Sutterlin, under clothier Levenson Rodriguez's guidance, displayed their ode to the Green Revolution with their creations inspired by the theme of Global Warming and the Emo trend that has invaded the campus scene.

The unlikely fusion of both concepts birthed a whirl of lace and tulle amidst a sea of plaids, stripes and hard metal accents. Silk-screen tees and poofy skirts added to the show's kitschy Harajuku vibe. The night really did feel like a stroll down Japan's most famously outlandish fashion district of punk youth style.

Is this perhaps a peek at the future of fashion? Get your cheeky outfits, black eyeliner and punk attitudes ready, it looks like the Philippine fashion scene's turning Japanese.
