Chocolate Clothing Company has a fresh new look, updated with mouth-watering labels, under a new management led by entrepreneur, Finina Tugade. The mini fashion mecca takes steps further to create a woman’s dream closet by refurbishing its stores and coming up with a strong roster of high impact brands.
Finina has taken over the reins of the boutique from its founder—and her friend—Ana Amigo-Antonio, who has successfully established the brand’s deliciously hip image.
Over the years, Chocolate Clothing has become known for the independent Australian brands it carries as well as in-house retail offerings. With five different labels—Sass, Fate, Grab, Aztec Rose, Lolitta—and its in-house label, Chocolate, this modern boudoir is able to cater to different styles from casual chic to free-spirited boho to urban sophisticate.
This season’s collection promises a lip smacking shopping experience with fun prints aplenty, decadent colors and hot designs. It also seems as if the brand intends to tap a more youthful market.
“We’re on a continuous hunt for independent labels with a strong following so you can expect the list of brands to grow,” enthuses Finina. “We’ve also got plans to expand outside Manila to major cities in the country like Cebu and Davao.”
Fahsionistas can still find the stores at the same spots (Rustan's Department Stores, Robinsons Galleria and Trinoma); only, this time, after the renovations, they are more romantic in atmosphere and have a cozy feel to them, too. With a new team and Finina at the helm of this recent redesign, we can expect a lot more sweet surprises in store.
