If you’re familiar with the movie The Devil Wears Prada (Of course, you are! Who isn’t?), then by now you already know that working in the fashion industry is one tough nut to crack. But with or without the Miranda Priestlys of the world, one thing remains true: it’s a job that a million girls would kill for.
With that in mind, WWD recently conducted a survey to find out the top companies where fashion girls today would want to work the most. Students from the leading fashion schools around the world participated in the study, and the results? Well, we’re not exactly shocked. So the most sought-after job in the fashion industry is... at Chanel, duh.
As a general result of the two separate surveys conducted, the top five companies where fashion girls dream to score employment are, in chronological order, Chanel, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton​, Christian Dior, Alexander Wang and Diane von Furstenberg.
Based on the interview, it’s also been revealed that many students are after companies with an established legacy and a positive working environment that also offer opportunities for career growth. They also take into consideration the company’s brand image, and they lean towards those who are pro feminism and women’s empowerment.
