Chanel bans use of fur and exotic animals.

Right before its Metiers D'Arts show, Parisian luxury label Chanel announced that it will no longer use fur and exotic skin in their products. Chanel explained that the company's move to eliminate these materials in production is because it has become difficult for them to source ethically sourced exotic skins.

Balmain unveils new logo.

Olivier Rousteing just gave his Balmain army a new logo to wear. The minimalist monogram logo designed by Adulte Adulte bears a capital B representing Balmain and has an additional stroke to form the letter P, signifying its founder Pierre Balmain and its HQ in Paris.

Miley Cyrus unveils new sneaker collab with Converse.

Converse and Miley Cyrus worked on a third collaborative collection that features clothes, footwear, and accessories just in time for the holidays. Expect Miley's collection to reflect her bold spirit. Hedi Slimane shot his first campaign ad for Celine.

Hedi Slimane is known for adhering to a certain look as we've seen in his move from Saint Laurent to Celine. His aesthetic as a photographer follows suit. For Celine's Spring 2019 ad campaign, he shot models with a disheveled rock beat, clad in the latest pieces he designed. Scrolling down the brand's IG feed, you'll see that photos of the womenswear line were done at close range in black and white, with a few colored photos thrown in the mix to let detail shine.

Marc Jacobs will be launching a new lower-priced line called The Marc Jacobs in between the major fashion seasons. Could this new line be the second coming of Marc by Marc Jacobs which shut its doors back in 2015? In a leaked teaser (validated by the brand and designer themselves), we're looking at a playful take on the brand's DNA. The Marc Jacobs line will officially hit the shelves in May 2019.
