She was spellbinding, to say the least.

Marian Rivera is no stranger to bringing fantasy to life. Her colorful years in the industry has made us believe that she was a mermaid in Dyesebel, a crime-fighting super hero in Darna, and a princess with a snake for a twin in Amaya, just to name a few. So when it came to closing the year with a bang, there wasn't any question as to who it had to be. There was only one Preview girl who can effortlessly turn our vision to reality.

The December 2022 cover transports us to a French fashion boutique in the '40s. "The inspiration behind this shoot is Dior New Look," Art Director Bacs Arcebal explains, referencing the era where the fashion house embraced feminine yet frivolous silhouettes.

Makeup artist Juan Sarte and hair stylist Nante Alingasa built on the fantasy and enhanced Marian's classic Spanish-Filipina look to match the fashion of that time. Channeling the elegance of sirens past, the 38-year-old was spellbinding, to say the least. Each gentle smile and graceful flick of the hand came so naturally that it's hard to believe that we were in Quezon City not Paris.

What's more, not only did Marian arrive early for the busy shoot day, she also managed to breeze through everything and wrap up much earlier than scheduled. "I don't think that's ever happened before during a cover shoot," editor-in-chief Marj Ramos-Clemente reveals.
