Eman Pineda in a Collage by Yayay de Castro

This parable of the prodigal son plays out amid travertine and ottomans.
Last May, it was announced that Adora department store is now under the management of Rustan's - a homecoming of sorts as for years, the posh multi-brand retailer in Greenbelt was considered "a breakaway faction of the retail family," Inquirer reported.
Founded by Marilou Tantoco Pineda (daughter of Bienvenido, Rustan's patriarch), and her son, the dapper Eman, it is now back in the bejeweled* clutches of the Rustan's group. The SSI Group, also a Tantoco enterprise, may have another place to carry its brands (Alexander McQueen, Bally, Burberry, Gucci, etc). It is a move they are still studying.
Style Bible thinks the real moral of this story is how great a brand builder Eman Pineda is.
He also started workwear line Tyler, which has since been acquired by the Golden ABC Group (Penshoppe, Oxygen, Memo, Forme, Regatta). He is currently working on its antithesis, Harlan + Holden, while overseeing Adora's merch and operations. For the latter, he reports to his aunt Zenaida and cousin Donnie.
