We could not be any happier for It girl, Alexa Chung, but it’s really us who are rejoicing as she releases her own denim collection for AG Jeans.
After going through the stages of being a model, a TV show host, and even an author, the British beauty proves that she still has a lot up her sleeve. The “dream denim” anthology was just recently released in Europe last January 15th and January 20th worldwide.
As expected, the AC for AG 21-piece collection stays true to her signature cool street style look as Alexa was given full creative control. “I was 100% involved. I think I drove them crazy. It wasn't a case of going in and doing whatever they said. I gave them sketches, gave them mood boards and talked through ideas. Then we made them together,” she said in an interview with E! Online.
In a write-up about the line on Vogue.com, Alexa spills that she wanted to make a paticular type of pair herself - one that she's been looking around for in stores but couldn't find. “For me, the frustrating thing is that if I manage to get the rise or the leg right, then I feel like the pocket placement is quite strange and then you get that long bum. With AG, I was keen on playing around with that, making it flattering on the bum,” she shares.
