The Celestina Trunkshow

Only one more day 'til the luxury goods head back to New York!
The Celestina Trunkshow Only one more day 'til the luxury goods head back to New York!

If you're wondering what happened to the MIX boutique in Greenbelt 5, you should know that it's been home to the Celestina trunkshow for the last few days.

The latest goods of Rico and Tina Ocampo's luxury brand made their way home for a five day trunkshow. Tomorrow, April 17 is its final day before the gorgeous bags, jewelry, and home wear are brought to New York for another trunkshow.

The pieces are all but breathtaking in their simplicity. Tina's bags still maintain the design aesthetic of when the brand was started—sterling silver minaudiers with stone clasps, croc skin “everyday” totes whose handles are punctuated with agates , and metal-plated woven purses inlaid with a strip of stone.

Rico is responsible for the design of the equally precious seats and tables that comprise Celestina's home offerings. The newest items in their menu are silk carpets that are hand-knotted to resemble agates and other stone formations. He divulged that Peter Marino, architect behind many a Louis Vuitton store, ordered a piece or two for one of the homes he is working on.

Drop by the former MIX boutique in Greenbelt 5 for the chance to view, and dare we say own a piece before everyone else does.
