Watch: The Most Badass Popstar Cliques of All Time Squad goals just got real.

In the immortal words of Geri Halliwell, Mels B and C, Victoria Beckham and Emma Bunton, “If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends.”

From the croquet playing meanies of Heathers to the scheming teen queens of Gossip Girl, hanging with the girls is a sacred moment cherished by every clique. It’s that one time when you can totally chill out with your pals while telling the world that no one can mess with you and your posse.

If you were too young to know who Baz Luhrmann is in 2001, then seeing this video being repeatedly played on MTV probably made you want to watch Moulin Rouge. Or dress up in corsets and fishnets.

Brandy and Monica in The Boy Is Mine

Okay, so this might be more of a catfight than a girl hang but still, the song was totes our jam.
