The other week Rajo Laurel tweeted about a fiber optic dress he made for regular client and friend, Tessa Prieto-Valdes. That night, we spotted her in the blue futuristic frock at the launch of Globe’s newest and fastest internet hookup, Tattoo Torque, which was actually held in her home in North Forbes.
First question: why the fiber optic couture?
As the new ambassadress for Globe Tattoo Broadband, Tessa was dressed to the tune of the hyperspeed internet (6Mbps to 100Mbps!), which runs through fiber optics.
Question 2: why host the event in her home?
Since Torque, with it’s high speeds, comes at a heftier price tag than the usual internet rates—it starts at P3000 and can go as high as P15,000 a month—it will be available first in prime residential areas like Forbes, Urdaneta, Bel-Air, and Serendra before the rest of the country.
She seemed pleased to have such quick internet running through her house that night. There was no buffering pause when they streamed videos on a beautiful touch-screen TV that was specially brought in for the night.
Question 3: why would you need such a fast internet speed?
If you’ve becoming increasingly frustrated with your sluggish connection, you’ll appreciate those extra minutes shed from waiting for a video to buffer or waiting for attachments to download. Faster internet speed also means being able to open and keep multiple applications open simultaneously and powering flash or java scripts quicker too!
Of course, it does come with quite a high price but if you’re willing to spend on speed then find out more about Tattoo Torque by visiting Globe stores, calling (02)730-1000, or visiting tattoo.globe.com.ph.
