Like we said, snap weddings call for cool, casual dresses. And while wearing a custom couture confection might fulfill every girl’s dream of having a big fat white wedding, sometimes the more low-key option turns out way better. Here Rosa Clará’s Managing Partner Valerie Zayco spills on how Bea Soriano-Dee picked out her wedding dress straight off their racks.
Butterfly sleeves keep the dress church appropriate
Their engagement was very brief. When did you first meet with Bea? How long did it take to finish her dress?
We met Bea during the holidays sometime before New Year. She was actually very low-key. She called the store to set an appointment. Since Bea was already tall, we had no problems with the length and just fit it to her size. It took the team 4 days to alter the gown to Bea's size.
A low neckline and back show just enough skin
How many dresses did she try on before deciding on this one? Did she want anything in particular?
Bea wanted something very light and easy to move around in. She tried on three dresses before deciding on this one, UBELA from our Soft by Rosa Clará collection. It is an intricately beaded tulle gown with a fitted bodice that flares out at the bottom.
Bea kept it simple with her hair worn down under her long tulle veil.
Who helped her pick out the dress? Did she have a stylist with her?
Bea knew the look and style she was going for from the very beginning, that's why it was easy for her to zone in on "the one." After she found the dress, she came back with her good friend, stylist Liz Uy, who approved of her choice and gave her tips and ideas for her wedding look.
