Speedo recently launched their Spring/Summer 2013 collection, which for this year featured a wide selection of swimwear for all types of water activities. Swimming for fitness took center stage: think aqua cycling, aqua aerobics, and even underwater running, playing more on the growing trend of fashion-meets-fitness.

This year's colors were inspired by four themes: Jewel Tones made use of high saturation, New Breeze alluded to purity with a modern edge, Sunny Daze gave nostalgic optimism, and Energize was inspired by the evolution of technology. Speedo divided their latest swimwear into five capsule collections too, including Swim Fitness which focused on swimwear made for water fitness activities; Health and Wellbeing (with the Sculpture range) whose functions include body-shaping and control (perfect for the summer!); the Competitive collection, which boasts of hard-wearing and long-lasting fabrics guaranteed to withstand any kind of swim training; the Play and Fun collection, with a wide range of swimmies for leisure swimming and casual hangouts by the beach; and Watershorts for men, a.k.a. aqua shorts that dry up as soon as you get out of the water (we're all over the on-trend cuts!).
