Sunday Staples Arrives in Manila with Its First Philippine Store
Now open at Power Plant Mall, the Singapore brand introduces footwear built for Asian feet, unpredictable weather, and all-day wear.
The Philippine retail landscape continues to expand its mix of regional fashion players, with Singapore-based footwear label Sunday Staples officially opening its first local boutique at Power Plant Mall in Makati.

Sunday Staples Opens First PH Store at Power Plant Mall
Sunday Staples marked its Manila debut with a launch event on April 22, 2026, drawing the city’s fashion set for an afternoon that introduced the brand’s core proposition: footwear that transitions seamlessly throughout the day.
Sunday Staples' newly opened Makati boutique is the brand’s first physical presence in the Philippines, with two additional locations planned in the coming months. This expansion follows strong regional growth, with the brand having sold over 200,000 pairs in Singapore over five years.
For founder Cherriann Wong, the move into the Philippine market addresses a clear demand. “We identified a real gap in the Philippine market for shoes that deliver both style and comfort,” she said, adding that the physical store allows customers to experience the brand’s signature Cloud Series firsthand.
What Is Sunday Staples?
Founded in Singapore, Sunday Staples was built on a straightforward premise: women shouldn’t have to choose between style and comfort.
The brand has since grown into one of Southeast Asia’s fast-rising footwear labels, known for its Cloud Series—designed with ultra-soft, bouncy padding that supports all-day wear while maintaining a streamlined, feminine silhouette.
Its approach is rooted in practicality. Designs are adapted for Asian foot shapes, incorporating features such as added heel padding, soft straps, and flexible uppers to minimize discomfort over extended wear. At the same time, materials are chosen with climate in mind, including microfibre leather and waterproof fabrics that can withstand humidity and sudden downpours.
This balance is deliberate. As Cheriann notes, “fit, comfort, and materials make the biggest difference in how often you’ll actually wear your shoes,” particularly in humid environments like the Philippines, where breathability and durability are essential.
More broadly, the brand’s positioning reflects a shift in how women approach dressing today. “The modern woman today seeks balance… She values style, but she no longer sacrifices comfort to achieve it,” said the founder.
