A month ago, I flew to sunny, sizzling Bangkok with Gucci for a media viewing of the famed Italian label's Fall-Winter 2019 collection. After a stroll through The Glass House's sunlight-drenched halls spent savoring every decadent piece of Alessandro Michele's latest offering up close, here, three styling tips I've taken home and tried on.
1. Cinch a too-long trouser with your strappy stiletto sandal.
Among the many, many ways you can tackle too-long trouser legs—count cuffing or simply letting the hems sweep the floor as you walk among our personal favorites—this one feels particularly fresh and fun. If you've got yourself a pair of those very on-trend, barely-there strappy sandals that everyone's strutting this summer, loop them around (and not under!) your pant ankles to create a makeshift jodhpur-like silhouette no one in your circle has likely done before.

2. Pinning a shirt's bow to your lapel makes for an interesting, old-world touch.
I adore beribboned shirts. Anyone in the Preview office can tell you that I own roughly a thousand of them and counting. This is a trick I never thought of, though: Instead of knotting the usual pussybow right under your chin, why not take the ends and pin 'em to the lapel of a blazer? It's giving us regal, cavalier-in-the-1600s feelings we're surprisingly vibing with.

3. A silk scarf accent turns any bag ten times cooler.
And we're not talking your average twilly-wrapped handles here. Gucci's take is nonchalant, almost messy, like you simply couldn't be bothered to knot it on neatly—and it works! Wind a slim silk scarf any which way around your purse straps and be guaranteed that even the most sombre-looking satchel will chic up.
