Stylesetter: Jessica Connelly Her stand out style caused waves at Soul Surf 2014.

At the recently concluded Soul Surf 2014 Festival, we spotted a handful of head-turners that made it to our galleries. But one lady that truly stood out for us would have to be the lead songstress of local act Sinyma, Jess Connelly. The unfortunate downpour may have caused her performance to be cut short, but there was nothing dreary about her personal style. Normcore at the beach? We say why not. Popping out in a sea of women in denim cut offs and printed bikinis was Jess who opted to go with a plain one-piece suit paired with faux leather-lined sweatpants. We are obsessed with how the maillot that was once tagged as prude, has come a long way into becoming a hot fashion commodity with its new and evolved form. Simply get one with a unique cut or a low-scooped back and pair it with your skirts, trousers, and shorts for an instant cool and sexy hit.
