If you follow Liz Uy on Instagram, you've probably already double-tapped her to-die-for #OOTDs from Fashion Week in New York, London, and Paris. While pulling off her looks prove challenging, what with all the layering she sported, you could stand to learn a few style tips from the stylist. Check out three of her looks and what you can take away from her designer ensembles.
Liz in an Ellery dress, Maiyet turtle neck, Tommy Hilfiger denim jacket, Karen Walker sunnies, and a Loewe bag
Style Tip: An easy way to dress down a look is by wearing a denim a jacket over it. Yes, even a full-length gown ready for the red carpet can be street style-worthy with this easy style hack.
Liz in a Roksanda coat, knit top and striped trousers from PH5, and a Loewe bag
Style Tip: At first glance it might seem like there's a lot going on with her stripe-on-stripe combo and distressed coat. But the reason it works is because Liz balanced the look by complementing the linear pattern on her top and bottom with a coat in neutral hues. Her floor-grazing striped trousers are also a great way to get instant height, especially because you can hide a really high heel beneath the sweeping hem.
Liz in a Tibi dress, Ellery coat, Eddie Borgo choker, and Loewe bag
Style Tip: Play with volume! Liz adds a voluminous ruffled blazer over a sleek turtleneck dress to add interest to an otherwise simple silhouette. We especially love how she clasped her choker over her turtleneck, proving that jewelry shouldn't be overlooked, even if a lot of layers are involved.
