Style.Com Reveals E-Commerce Strategy Content is king.

As magazines become shoppable, and shops get their own magazines, here is a website that grew out of a magazine but now wants to be shoppable!

A hub for runway photos, reviews and fashion-related articles, the American Vogue-backed site shall become an online storefront for fashion merch, as well as food, wine and travel services.

Publisher Condé Nast has hired Melissa Dick, ex-editor of and previously the global editorial director at, to be its new editorial director, WWD reported. She will work alongside chief product officer Mo White, formerly of the Net-a-porter Group, whose strategy of using content to drive purchases is exactly what Condé wants.

The new site will first launch in the U.K.
