This season is brimming with a myriad of exciting trends to try, embodied by an overall playful spirit in the form of bright colors, architectural accessories, and a mix of aesthetics. If you’re not sure where to start, look no further than your favorite stylish celebrities, many of whom have been hopping on the same trend bandwagons. And they’re incorporating them in totally wearable outfits you can easily replicate yourself.
Ahead are 7 key trends your favorite local celebrities are embracing right now:
1. Cargo Pants

Aside from relaxed jeans, one type of bottoms that inarguably reigned the runways were cargo pants, particularly in the form of unexpected fabrics like silk and mesh. Here, your girl Mimiyuuuh took one out for a spin with a denim-layered design paired with an oversized blazer for a polished twist.
2. Denim on Denim

Speaking of denim, this trusty textile also dominated the season with the Canadian tux as the top look, be it in sandblasted Y2K styles or indigo washes that are more put-together. Heart Evangelista is in on the trend, preferring the latter through a double-breasted blazer and trousers, thoroughly accessorized with jewelry.
3. Boots

So many celebrities have literally been living in tall boots, especially white ones. (Check out everyone we spotted here for more inspo.) One notable OOTD we recently spotted was that of Nadine Lustre’s featuring a monogrammed Gucci ensemble that looked more youthful with white boots. Kelsey Merritt has been an avid fan, often donning them with prim black and white outfits.
4. White Tank

Spring/Summer 2023 began the ‘back to basics’ theme which flourished in the Fall/Winter runways, where the tank was still a hit.
Rei Germar and Kylie Verzosa were seen sporting Loewe and Miu Miu ones respectively, with another Spring trend: the mini skirt. You can still cop the tank throughout the year by mixing it with more relaxed bottoms because leaner silhouettes are slated to be big.
5. Platform Shoes

From boots to sandals, the taller the better this season when it comes to footwear. But if sky-high isn’t your style, platform Mary Janes might be right up your alley–just like Liza Soberano’s. The actress went for an edgy-meets-preppy look in an oversized varsity jacket, cropped top, and black sunnies.
6. Sparkly Accessories

As if the holidays were still in swing, the runways shone bright with sparkle and metallics, perhaps an alternative to typical floral fashions come this time of year. Bags are the easiest way to add this trend to your looks. Take cues from Camille Co who got her hands on a new Gucci horse-bit purse embellished with rhinestones.
7. Touches of Pink

As an ode to the Color of the Year (or perhaps everyone’s just obsessed with it), bright pink made a splash this season, lending a powerfully feminine feel to dresses, slit skirts, corsets, and trousers. Here, Laureen Uy made a bold statement, layering a fuchsia blazer with a tube top and micro bag.
