Since Kathryn Bernardo turned 18, we’ve noticed a gutsier, daring, and more confident Teen Queen. She cut her hair into a lob, gave the ombré look a shot, traded her button downs for cropped tops, and her flats for pointy pumps (YSL, Valentino, and even Christian Louboutins galore). Perhaps, a coming of age? The pretty morena started this year with a bang with her ab-baring debut cover for Cosmopolitan. From starting off as a Candy girl, to being on the cover of Preview thrice, and now a fun, fearless female fronting Cosmo; one thing’s for sure—KB is no longer a little girl.
Just recently, at a work trip in Dubai, Kathryn wore a deep cut custom-made suit dress by Pepsi Herrera similar to an outfit Kim K wore two months back—both of them opting for strappy steppers to match it with.
While Kim K’s Balmain was styled with just her bare itty-bitty necessities and her hubby, Kanye West, in a matching ensemble, Kathryn's debut into the plunging neckline leaned toward modesty courtesy of a barely-there nude camisole underneath (she’s not showing her cleavage just yet). And while we doubt that the likes of sexy Kim K. is her kind of style icon—after all she’s more of the Taylor Swift type with her current bow obsession— she still decently pulled off the new look. But now it got us asking: Now that she’s bolder, about to get older, and is under the wing of her new stylists Kimi and Boop Yap, will we be seeing a more risqué Teen Queen hanging quite tight to her title?
We'll just have to wait and see.
