Last Saturday, December 7, 2013, music lovers and fashionistas alike trooped to the SM Mall of Asia concert grounds to feast on sound. Local bands and DJs set the mood from the early afternoon and by 11pm, everyone, and we mean everyone, was either singing, dancing, or jumping non-stop. With the crowd pumped up by beats from main acts DJs Henrix, Laidback Luke, and Steve Aoki, heck, it seems Philippines may be the next music festival home of Asia. Our culture’s evolving taste for music is craving for more and we have a feeling this is the beginning of what will be an annual thing you folks can look forward to. There’s already a great lineup for 2014, mind you; so stay tuned for that.
Live music, dancing with hundreds of newfound friends on a breezy December night—where part of the proceeds were donated to the Philippine Red Cross for the victims of Super Typhoon Yolanda—we say Sonic Carnival: Feast on Sound 2013 was one for the books.
