British luxury label, Joseph, launched its first boutique in the country, not to mention the first stand alone store in Asia, last night and let us tell you that they did it with a bang. At first sight of the new 150 square-meter home of the label in SM Aura, one would already see the brand’s sensibilities through the clean lines and monochromatic color scheme.
Pleasing to the eye and inviting from the outside, the full range of Joseph’s men’s and women’s autumn/winter 2014 ready-to-wear line is as alluring as the beats of London based DJ Mikhail. He jumpstarted the evening and put the country's stylish set in the mood for none other than Queen Bey's equally musically-inclined, stylish sister Solange Knowles.
She got everyone in the partying mood at the early hour of 8pm as she started feeding the crowd with her jams consisting of songs by Whitney Houston, The Cardigans and Britney Spears to name a few—what a fab mix, right?
Solange arrived in a black pantsuit paired with nude strappy steppers, her round frame sunnies, and her signature fro. Ditching her signature punchy hues and kooky prints for the event, we think the trendy lady looks just as good in her chic monochromatic ensemble.
But she wasn't the only lady who dresses up for the event, scroll down to see the stunners who caught our attention at the launch.
You know we love a lady who can look mighty fine in a suit and Bea Soriano, just like Solange, opted to go with an earth-tone pair. We loved how she added a hint of skin through the low neckline of the single-button blazer.
It seemed like ladies in trousers all hit perfect tens last night as Georgina Wilson also looked well put together in her dark metallic co-ords. The white pointed pumps and black sling bag completed the simple yet polished look.
Yessa Yu killed it last night in her crisp white palazzo trousers and ovoid polka cropped top that she paired with her metallic purse. Now that's how we would want to turn heads.
The final lady in trousers that caught our radar was Carissa Chan who kept it clean and classic in an all black ensemble with her hair simply swept back.
Always effortlessly chic, Angel Jacob shows us that when choosing an LBD, it;s nice to get one with interesting details may it be the cut, little embellishments, or the length.
We couldn't help but also fall in love with Ruby Gan's leather LBD, embellished pumps, and of course, her Bambi-printed Givenchy clutch.
