Following in the footsteps of Preview Magazine's cover story, Style Bible took the liberty of looking for pieces that could get you started on your own Alexander McQueen-inspired wardrobe.

Begin with the Reptilian prints that he used in the Springs of 2009 and 2010 that had the world enamored with not only the bold use of color in the optical pattern of scales but also the play on silhouette proportions.

Next hunt through the Scottish Tartans and traditional Houndstooth fabrics that were molded into often theatrical versions of vintage silhouettes.

Go back to the Goth looks that began his career, which recurred intermittently throughout, that featured deep blacks, leather and references to darker works of art.

Lastly, pay your final respects with the Imperial theme of his final collection, whose opulent embroidery and rich fabrics will make anyone feel like royalty.
