The recently concluded Seoul Fashion Week has found a new way to make fashion inspiration come alive. With the ever-climbing surge of street style stars and photographers, one could easily fade amongst the sea of girls clad in Gucci and Vetements strolling lithely along Paris cobblestone pavements, but in South Korea, standing out comes easy—so much so that the nation's unique sartorial spirit becomes increasingly difficult to capture in photographs.

Which is why editors from every corner of Seoul have, accordingly, decided that a mere jpeg just won't do. The future of street style lies in the gif, evident in the sheer number of stylephiles spotted sporting video cameras to film the action (one blogger even arrived armed with four iPhones mounted on a quadruple-pronged stabilizer. Beat that!). Wanting in, Vogue.com photographer Alex Finch decided to shoot the scene with a series of stop-motion portraits, each at a rate of 12 frames a second.

If you're not lucky enough to watch the whole spectacle live, there's no better way to view Seoul's infamous street style than via the captured twirl of a dress, a cheekily-flashed tongue, or a moving image of an achingly chic Korean toddler lumbering ecstatically off of a skateboard. The Seoulites have spoken: it's time for fashion to take action.
