Did You Know? Selena Gomez Repurposed Her Engagement Ring Into a Wedding Ring

In case you missed it, Selena Gomez just tied the knot with American record producer and songwriter Benny Blanco. The couple exchanged vows in an intimate garden ceremony, both clad in custom creations by Ralph Lauren. While documentation of the nuptials was kept limited, Selena and Benny shared glimpses of their special day through Instagram.
Benny, for his part, couldn’t contain his joy. “I married a real-life Disney princess,” he wrote in the caption of a post featuring a carousel of images—including a close-up of their wedding bands. Benny opted for a classic yellow gold band, while Selena wore a marquise-cut diamond ring set on twin pavé bands in yellow gold.
It didn’t take long for fans to recognize that Selena’s ring was the very same one from her engagement, only updated for her wedding day.

When the couple announced their engagement in December 2024, Selena shared a photo of her ring on Instagram, writing, “Forever begins now.”
The piece featured a yellow gold pavé band crowned with a striking marquise-cut diamond. Reports estimate the stone to be between six and eight carats, with valuations ranging from $225,000 to $1 million (around P13 million to P58.1 million). Most sources, however, place its worth at approximately $225,000.
Interestingly, the marquise cut is believed to be a personal reference to a line in Selena's song, "Good For You," where she refers to herself as a "marquise diamond.”
Nine months later, Selena appears to have updated the ring for her wedding. The design now incorporates an additional pavé band in yellow gold, accented with two smaller marquise stones that frame the original diamond.
While the exact brilliance and clarity of the stones can’t be determined from the available photos, the addition of the two side diamonds only drives up the ring's value.
