Herewith, the complete designer collections from the first day of Philippine Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016:
Jeffrey Rogador
For a split second, we thought this designer was going to pull a Rick Owens on us as he sent out contemporary ballet dancers to open his segment. This was of course followed by a fleet of models dressed in joggers, tanks, and tees that looked comfy enough to make anyone want to break dance and split.
Kaye Morales
Opening her segment with a rainbow explosion, designer Kaye Morales' collection was all about "coming out,” showcasing designs that celebrated LGBT pride.
Erwin Tan
Beaded bustiers and floor-sweeping trains will forever be Philippine Fashion Week staples, and Erwin Tan gave us that with his collection of red and black evening dresses prancing through the runway.
Sidney Perez Sio
In another attempt to marry luxe and street, designer Sidney Perez Sio pairs snapbacks and sneakers with gauzy dresses and straight-cut tunics that take inspiration from the barong. An APEC reflux, perhaps?
