See Kate Middleton’s First Vogue Cover Ever

The first time she’s ever agreed to shoot with a magazine.
See Kate Middleton’s First Vogue Cover Ever The first time she’s ever agreed to shoot with a magazine.

To celebrate Vogue UK’s 100 strong years in fashion, they decided that there was no one else better to grace the cover than everyone’s favorite royalty, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton.

Photographed by Josh Olins in the Norfolk countryside, the mom of Prince George and Princess Charlotte looked every bit the young Kate from way back when she and Prince William were still dating—simple, all smiles, and real. Truth be told, aside from the tiaras, not a lot has changed with her style since she became royalty—she can still wear Zara whenever she pleases or repeat outfits just because. Vogue reveals that the Duchess was involved in the selection of the clothes that included pieces from Burberry to Petit Bateau. The result? The most personal and casual Royal portrait to be featured in the history of Vogue.

The centenary issue of the British Vogue will be on newsstands come May 5th, while the portraits in the special issue will be displayed at the National Portriat Gallery until May 22. If you’re visiting the UK this summer, we suggest you stop by the exhibit named “Vogue 100: A Century of Style” and look for two of Her Royal Highness’ images from the print in the gallery.
