At a time where simplicity, #cozy, and athleisure are the frontrunners of the fashion game, extravagant dressers like Tessa Prieto-Valdes are bound to stand out. A head-turner whose position in the fashion industry was solidified for being daring—a ring on each finger, she always says—Tessa declares she would never be caught wearing a little black dress. "I would never wear a plain black dress. Also, I wouldn't wear anything without built-in padding. Nothing too plunging, I still need a boob job!" Other than that, we think we've seen it all.

From tutus, giant hats, and extravagant ball gowns, what we love most about the Sea Princess is the fact that she champions Filipino talent to aid her larger than life dressing aesthetic. "No rules, but wear everything with confidence and loads of accessories! The key is to create impact upon entry to an event," she says. Lucky for us, we'll have a chance to see some of her favorite pieces up close through Wildflower: A Fashion Retrospective on style icon Tessa Rufino Prieto-Valdes. The exhibit runs from March 8-18, 2016 at the Mega Fashion Hall.

Each piece is a masterpiece with stunning details and craftsmanship. The exhibit also includes accessories and hats of all sorts—a signature staple of the Sea Princess!"
