When it comes to window displays, nothing beats the creative minds working behind Celestina’s unique set-ups. For the launch of its latest collab, the upscale corner boutique in Greenbelt 5 turned into a sari sari store, fully stocked with Mang Tomas and Datu Puti vinegar.
Was this taken at a grocery or in a boutique?
Inspired by iconic local condiments sarsa, toyo, suka, and banana catsup, its latest capsule collection juxtaposed accessory design with compelling imagery as it reinvented the classic bayong. Alligator and lamb skin carry-alls showcased the unique skyscapes and topographies taken by photographer Jay Yao from airplane windows, then manually manipulated by design collective B+C, which stained them with Mang Tomas All-Around Sarsa, Datu Puti Vinegar, Silver Swan Soy Sauce and UFC Banana Catsup.
Stash your sauces in this stylish bayong.
Yaya would love these swing tags.
If the appetizing prints aren’t enough to make you want to purchase these novelty items, do know that it’s for a good cause too as part of the proceeds will benefit Teach for the Philippines, an organization advocating teacher quality in public schools by impacting change inside the classroom.
Photographs by Jay Yao are manipulated by B+C with the use of condiments.
How’s that to fill your tita appetite?
