Well into 2025, the “no pants” trend shows no signs of falling out of fashion’s favor. Though it re-entered the mainstream sartorial consciousness in late 2023, the silhouette has deep historical roots. Its earliest traces go back to the 1950s, when dancers wore leotards over tights—an athletic, form-fitting uniform that later laid the groundwork for the look’s eventual evolution.

Fast forward to today, and the “no pants” look now hinges on a sharp sense of proportion—voluminous tops, structured accessories, and bold footwear working in harmony to strike a balance. Case in point: Sandara Park’s latest casual airport look.

Scroll on to see exactly how she made the outfit work.

When it comes to her personal style, Sandara Park is a clear pro at nailing the effortless, cool-girl vibe. Her fashion language is as straightforward as it gets: boxy silhouettes, minimally accessorized with edgy accents like a sleek pair of frames and bold kicks.

And when it comes to her selection of pieces, the K-pop star reveals a penchant for all the finer things in life. Just look at how she nails this casual “no pants” look at the airport!

While en route to Los Angeles for 2NE1’s performance at Head In The Clouds, Sandara kept things comfortable in an oversized heather grey sweatshirt with dramatically dropped shoulders and flared sleeves. Styled with a pair of black micro shorts that peek out ever so slightly beneath the hemline, the look played with proportion and modesty in equal parts.

She finished the ensemble with a pair of black platform knee-high boots punctuated with bold buckle detailing—a nod to utilitarian influences—while her quilted Chanel Classic Flap bag added a touch of luxury. The finishing touches? Tinted rectangle glasses and a swipe of crimson-hued lip gloss, perfectly finishing off the look’s polished but effortless energy.
